ChargEV and EcoWorld have officially launched a new EV charging station located at Eco Ardence in Setia Alam, Shah Alam. The new charging location has a total of 10 charging nozzles which consists of both AC and DC fast chargers.
Located near Ardence Labs and Eco Ardence Sales Gallery, ChargEV has deployed two StarCharge DC chargers which have two CCS2 nozzles each and three StarCharge Saturn AC chargers which feature two Type 2 nozzles each. That’s a total of four DC charging nozzles which can deliver up to a maximum of 60kW each and six AC charging nozzles capable of delivering up to 22kW each.
Similar to other ChargEV charging locations at Berjaya Times Square, Publika and Starbucks outlets, the EV chargers at Eco Ardence are priced based on kWh utilised instead of time. The 60kW DC fast chargers are priced at RM1.20 per kWh while the AC chargers are priced at RM0.80 per kWh for non-members or RM0.60 per kWh for members.
To activate the charger, you must download and use the ChargEV app which is available on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Payment is done via credit and debit card, which needs to be saved on the app before charging.
ChargEV has been rolling out more EV chargers lately and they are in the process of upgrading its legacy AC chargers at Petronas stations. ChargEV has also signed an EV roaming agreement which will allow its users to access JomCharge and Gentari chargers from the same app. The cross-access EV charging across the different Charge Point Operators is expected to be completed this month.
