GWM Malaysia is now offering a massive discount for the Ora Good Cat Ultra electric hatchback as part of its Merdeka 2026 deal. The refreshed Good Cat series made its way into Malaysia late last year with a new LFP battery pack and My GWM app support.
At launch, the 2026 Ora Good Cat Ultra was priced at RM109,800. With the RM15,000 discount offered through GWM’s Merdeka 2026 deal, you can get your hands on it for RM94,800 until 30 September 2026.
At the same time, customers will also receive a free AC wallbox charger and 5 years of free maintenance, inclusive of labour and parts. Not to forget, they will also receive Touch ‘n Go x GWM-branded RFID for free, which comes as standard on all new GWM vehicles since 1 August 2026.
Not to forget, they will also be in the running to win RM1,000 of free toll credit. However, the Merdeka 2026 discount does not apply to the Good Cat GT, which is currently priced at RM119,800.
2026 GWM Ora Good Cat Ultra Malaysia Colourways, Warranty
The 2026 Ora Good Cat can be obtained in 3 exterior colours including Hazel Wood Beige with Brown Roof, So Blue with Black Roof, and Pistachio Green. Each colourway has its own interior colour scheme, while the So Blue option also includes black wheels and yellow brake callipers.
Ora Good Cat is covered by a 5-year / 150,000km vehicle warranty, while there is also an 8-year / 180,000km warranty specifically for its high voltage battery, electric motor, and motor controller.
2026 GWM Ora Good Cat Ultra Malaysia Quick Specs
As noted earlier, one of the changes that the 2026 Ora Good Cat Ultra brought to the table is a newer 57.7kWh SVOLT LFP battery. However, the new battery has a lower capacity than the 63.1kWh NMC battery that was fitted to the original Good Cat 500 Ultra, which was launched in Malaysia back in November 2022.
Not surprisingly, this has affected the NEDC-rated range that the 2026 Good Cat Ultra is able to offer – although the difference is not far off at 480km (408km WLTP est) versus the previous iteration, which was rated at 500km (425km WLTP est).
Meanwhile, the 2026 version also brings together support for the My GWM app that essentially allows Good Cat Ultra owners to remotely check their car location and charging status as well as tyre temperature and pressure. They can also control the car’s climate settings, windows, and boot lid.
In terms of performance, the 2026 Good Cat is no different from the 2022 version. It still features a single motor pushing 105kW (141hp) and 210Nm of torque to the front wheels alongside a top speed of 150km/h.
The same also applies to its charging capabilities, as the 2026 Good Cat Ultra still supports single-phase AC charging up to 6.6kW and DC charging of up to 60kW. A full charge on AC takes about 9 hours, while DC charging from 30-80% takes approximately 38 minutes.
The Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature continues to be available on the 2026 version, allowing you to use the Good Cat as a powerbank to power home appliances up to 3.3kW.
The 2026 Ora Good Cat also still comes with a MacPherson independent suspension with stabiliser bar for the front and torsion beam setup for the rear. It also gets 18-inch alloy wheels as standard, which are wrapped with GitiComfort 225 V1 215 / 50 tyres.
Similar to before, the electric hatchback still features a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 6 speakers and 50W wireless charging.
In the safety department, the 2026 Ora Good Cat comes with 6 airbags, 360-degree camera and intelligent self-parking. It also features a comprehensive suite of ADAS features including Adaptive Cruise Control with Intelligent Cornering (Intelligent ACC), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Centre Keeping (LCK), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Braking (RCTA & RCTB).
