macOS 26.7 leak reveals iPhone Ultra, touchscreen MacBooks, and camera equipped AirPods

Apple has accidentally leaked references to nearly 40 unreleased devices within the macOS 26.7 release candidate.

Software code analysis reveals model identifiers spanning new iPhones, OLED touch screen MacBooks, camera equipped AirPods, and dedicated smart home hardware.

Foldable iPhone Ultra and future iPhone 18 series

The software update mentions five upcoming iPhone models.

Model V68 represents the long rumoured foldable iPhone Ultra expected to launch this September.

Alongside it, model numbers V63 and V64 point to the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max arriving in September.

Looking further ahead, model V67 correlates to the standard iPhone 18 while model V62 points to the iPhone Air 2, both scheduled for release in spring 2027.

OLED touch screen MacBook Pro and M6 chip updates

The Mac family sees significant movement in the update code.

Model J804 identifies an entry level 14 inch MacBook Pro powered by the upcoming M6 chip, slated for release before the end of the year.

References J833 and J834 indicate updated iMac models. Furthermore, model identifiers K114c, K114s, K116c, and K116s signal high end MacBook Pro models featuring OLED touch screen displays.

Camera equipped AirPods and new audio gear

Apple appears ready to introduce computer vision to wearables.

Model B790 references new AirPods equipped with infrared cameras designed for Visual Intelligence features, supported by a video demonstration inside the code.

According to Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman, these camera equipped AirPods will not be launching anytime soon, as they remain on track for a 2027 release. Software strings also reference AirPodsPro1,4, signalling the fourth generation AirPods Pro, alongside a reference to AirPod3,5. Beats products receive mentions under model numbers B518 and B522.

Smart home hub, homeOS, and tabletop robot

Smart home hardware features heavily in the release candidate. Models J490 and J491 describe Apple’s upcoming smart home hub in desktop and wall mounted configurations.

The system will run on internal software codenamed Pebble, previously identified as homeOS.

Other home devices include model B525 for a new HomePod mini, J229 for a security sensor with visual detection, and J595 for a tabletop robot with Luxo Jr inspiration. Four distinct colours are referenced, including Rose Pink, Silver, Space Gray, and Starlight.

Next generation iPad mini, Apple Vision Pro, and unassigned devices

Tablets and spatial computing receive notable mentions. Models J510 and J511 cover an upgraded iPad mini rumoured to feature an OLED display and an A19 Pro chip.

Model N109 references Apple’s headset roadmap, which could represent either a second generation Vision Pro or a budget focused headset.

Software code also points to a new Apple TV remote designated as ATVRemote1,5, alongside Writing Tools support for China and a wide array of unassigned model numbers including A3436 through A3577 and several Device1,8234 series identifiers.

iPhone 18 launch expected next month with Malaysian availability shortly after

Apple is set to reveal the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and Ultra next month, with the keynote speculated to take place on 9 September.

As Malaysia is a key market for Apple, local preorders for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected to start on the Friday of the launch week, hitting store shelves the following Friday.

However, the foldable iPhone Ultra may take longer to reach Malaysia due to an initial limited release, which is likely to prioritize the US market first before rolling out globally.
