Huawei has officially launched the Pura 90s series in Malaysia, its latest flagship camera phones with up to a 200MP telephoto camera, a 6,000mAh battery and new AI-powered photography features.
This is essentially the global version of the Huawei Pura 90 series that was launched in China early this year.
The new flagship smartphone lineup consists of the Huawei Pura 90s Pro and Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max, with prices starting from RM3,699.

The Huawei Pura 90s series is now available in Malaysia starting today and here’s the official pricing:
- Huawei Pura 90s Pro (12GB + 256GB) – RM3,699
- Huawei Pura 90s Pro (12GB + 512GB) – RM3,999
- Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max (12GB + 512GB) – RM4,899
Customers who pre-order the devices can enjoy free gifts worth up to RM3,076, including vouchers worth up to RM400, a mystery gift worth RM999, as well as the Huawei Pura 90s series Premium Service package worth RM1,677.
The package includes a one-year one-time accidental damage protection plan, one-year of unlimited free battery replacement, one-year APAC & MEA warranty, two years four-times free screen protector replacements and one-on-one VIP service.
Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max Malaysia Specs and Features

The Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max is the range-topping model in the lineup and its biggest highlight is the new 200MP f/2.6 Ultra Large Sensor Telephoto Camera. Huawei says it uses a large 1/1.28-inch RYYB sensor with 4x optical zoom, optical image stabilisation (OIS) and it can go all the way to 100x digital zoom.
The device also gets a 50MP Ultra Lighting HDR main camera with variable aperture (f/1.4-f/4.0), a 40MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera and a 13MP front-facing camera.
According to Huawei, the device also features its second-generation True-to-Colour Camera for improved colour accuracy under different lighting conditions.

Upfront, it gets a 6.9″ LTPO OLED display with a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a resolution of 2,848 × 1,276 pixels.
The global device runs on a Kirin 9030S processor with 12GB RAM and 512GB of storage. It packs a 6,000mAh battery that supports 100W Huawei SuperCharge wired charging, 80W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
For durability, the Pura 90s Pro Max is equipped with Anti-Reflection Scratch-Resistant Kunlun Glass and carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The Huawei Pura 90s Pro Max is available in Orange Ocean, Blaze Purple, Blush Gold and Graphite Black.
Huawei Pura 90s Pro Malaysia Specs and Features

The Huawei Pura 90s Pro shares much of the same hardware as its bigger sibling but swaps the 200MP telephoto camera for a 50MP f/2.1 Ultra Lighting Macro Telephoto camera with OIS.
It also features a 50MP Ultra Lighting main camera with a variable aperture (f/1.4-f/4.0), a 12.5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera and a 13MP selfie camera.

The device gets a slightly smaller 6.6″ LTPO OLED display with the same 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a resolution of 2,760 × 1,256 pixels.
The device also gets a Kirin 9030S processor with 12GB RAM but with the option for either 256GB or 512GB of storage. It also packs a 6,000mAh battery but supports up to 66W Huawei SuperCharge wired charging, alongside 50W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
Like the Pro Max, it is also rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance.

The Huawei Pura 90s Pro comes in Guava Soda, Orange Soda, Mulberry Black and Coconut White.
EMUI 16 brings new AI photography features
According to Huawei, the latest Pura 90s series runs on EMUI 16, which is based on Android 16. The new flagship Pura 90s series introduces several new AI-powered photography features designed to make shooting and editing easier.
These include AI Composition, which provides framing suggestions before taking a photo, AI De-Glare for removing reflections when shooting through glass, AI Move for repositioning subjects after a photo is taken, AI Remove for eliminating unwanted objects, and AI Best Expression, which intelligently combines multiple frames to generate better facial expressions in group shots.
Huawei also says the phones feature its second-generation True-to-Colour Camera that claims to deliver natural and accurate colour reproduction in different lighting conditions. Meanwhile, Celia AI Assistant provides extra support via voice commands while Huawei’s AppGallery ecosystem is believed to be able to provide secure access to a wide variety of apps including popular ones in Malaysia.
