Samsung has officially announced the new Galaxy A27 5G in Malaysia, which brings several notable upgrades over its predecessor.
The latest mid-range smartphone now features a new Infinity-O display with slimmer bezels, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, an upgraded 12MP selfie camera and Samsung’s latest Awesome Intelligence AI features.
As part of its introductory promo, Samsung is also offering Double Storage upgrade worth up to RM100 plus extra savings for selected accessories.

Here’s the official pricing for Samsung Galaxy A27 5G in Malaysia:
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – RM1,399 (Promo: RM1,299)
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – RM1,499 (Promo: RM1,399)
The device comes in 3 colour options – Black, Dark Blue and Light Pink.
From now until 21 July 2026, Samsung is offering free double storage upgrade worth RM100. In addition, buyers will also receive a free phone case while stocks last.
Samsung is also offering 10% off on selected Galaxy ecosystem devices including the Galaxy Buds4, Galaxy Buds3 FE, Galaxy Fit3 and Galaxy Tab A11 series when purchased together with the Galaxy A27 5G.
Samsung Galaxy A27 5G specs and features
The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with a 120Hz refresh rate and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. The new display has a punch-hole front camera, which replaces the previous waterdrop-style notch for a cleaner look.
Compared to its predecessor, the A27 5G is slimmer and has a more symmetrical bezels, while the measuring 7.8mm thick and weighs 200g.
Powering the device is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 4nm processor. In Malaysia, Samsung is offering only two memory configurations — 8GB RAM with either 128GB or 256GB of storage. Storage can also be expanded via microSD cards of up to 2TB.
For photography, the Galaxy A27 5G packs a 50MP main camera with OIS, accompanied by a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. On the front is a new 12MP selfie camera, which Samsung says delivers improved dynamic range and more natural-looking selfies.
The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast charging. Out of the box, it ships with Android 16 running One UI 8.5.
On the software side, the Galaxy A27 5G comes with Samsung’s Awesome Intelligence suite. This includes an enhanced Circle to Search with Google that can recognise multiple objects in a single image, an improved Object Eraser, Voice Transcription with translation support in 22 languages, as well as support for Google Gemini, Perplexity and Bixby as AI assistants.
For long term support, Samsung is promising up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, as well as six years of security updates. The Galaxy A27 5G also gets Samsung Knox Vault security and an IP64 dust and water resistance rating.
