There are now more EV chargers available at The Exchange Mall at TRX. DC Handal has turned on a total of 6x AC Charge Points located at the Basement 1 (B1) carpark near the Welcome Hall D entrance.
The Mercedes-Benz co-branded EV charging location has a total of 6 bays and these are currently the first chargers in the mall with kWh-based pricing.
With the latest deployment, there are now a total of 14x AC Charge Points at Level B1 of the mall.

For this location at The Exchange TRX, DC Handal has deployed a total of six Schneider Charge Pro wall boxes that can deliver up to 22kW. These charge points are priced at RM1.00 per kWh and you can activate them without using any app.
Similar to other DC Handal locations, you can activate and pay for charging without using any app. Just tap your credit or debit card, or use TNG eWallet QR payment at the centralised payment terminal.
Alternatively, you can also activate the charger via Gentari Go, JomCharge and ChargEV app.

As spotted on the charger, there’s a sign indicating that there’s an idle fee to mitigate hogging.
DC Handal will impose a fee of RM0.30 per minute (RM18) if you do not move your vehicle 15 minutes after charging has ended.

Besides DC Handal, Gentari has deployed 8x 22kW AC Charge Points at Level B1 and 4x 22kW AC Charge Points at Level CF (Premium Parking). These chargers are priced at RM0.25 per minute (RM15 per hour) which can be expensive especially for EVs that support single-phase 7kW AC charging.
Last week, Tesla Malaysia has revealed that it will be deploying Tesla Superchargers at The Exchange Mall very soon.
