JomCharge x DBKL continue to deploy more street-level EV chargers and the latest location is at Bandar Menjalara Kepong. As part of its opening promo, they are offering 50% off for EV charging this coming weekend.
This is #JomChargeDiKL location #13 and the destination charger allows EV users to top up their vehicle while running errands around the Bandar Menjalara shoplot area.
Like other JomCharge x DBKL street-level EV chargers, users are not required to pay for parking while charging their EV at these locations.
40kW DC and 11kW AC Charge points at TK Bakery Menjalara
JomCharge and DBKL have deployed a total of four EV charge points located in front of TK Bakery at Bandar Menjalara. This consists of a 40kW DC Charger with two CCS nozzles and two 11kW AC charge points.
The DC charger is priced at RM1.40 per kWh while the AC charge points are priced at RM1.10 per kWh.
Users can activate and pay for charging via the JomCharge, Gentari Go and ChargEV app.
While there are a total of 4 EV charge points, there are only three practical EV charging bays. The 11kW AC charge points are installed at the first and third charging bay.
Meanwhile, the DC Charger with two CCS2 nozzles are installed in the middle of the second EV charging bay which are suited for vehicles with rear-mounted port. Alternatively, it can also charge EVs with front mounted port when parked in the third charging bay.
As always, these EV charging bays are for charging only. If you’re not charging, you’re hogging.
50% Off for EV Charging this weekend
As part of its launch promo, JomCharge x DBKL are offering 50% off for its TK Bakery Menjalara location this coming weekend on 14th and 15th March 2026. With the 50% off promo, DC charging would cost you RM0.70 per kWh while AC charging costs RM0.55 per kWh.
If you’re a JomCharge Elite member, you can enjoy an additional 10% off at this location.
More EV Charge Points in Kepong
Besides TK Bakery, JomCharge x DBKL have also deployed more street-level chargers in Bandar Menjalara. Another location is near Artisan Frame where they have deployed a 45kW DC Charger with two CCS2 nozzles and a single 10kW AC charge points.
Despite having a total of 3 EV charge points at this location, there are only two slanted bays which makes it challenging for EVs with rear-mounted charge ports. We’ve been told that longer cables will be installed soon which will mitigate this issue.
