This post is brought to you by AEON Bank.
AEON Bank has introduced several exciting new features on its digital banking app this Ramadan and Syawal. Moreover, it has also brought to life its Ramadan and Syawal campaign themed Niat di Hati, Budi Terpateri, and rolled out its Shared Value Creation (SVC) commitment through its flagship community impact initiative, Salam Prihatin.
The campaign is anchored on the principle that good intentions (niat yang baik), when demonstrated through kind and thoughtful actions (amal budi yang indah), will lead to meaningful outcomes. This theme is brought to life through a self-produced Ramadan Aidilfitri 2026 brand video, available on the Bank’s official YouTube channel.
Empowering B40 Families Through Targeted Community Impact

AEON Bank recently concluded the fourth year of its Salam Prihatin initiative on 3 March 2026. In collaboration with AEON BiG Wangsa Maju and the NGO Pertubuhan Kebajikan Masyarakat Penyayang Lembah Pantai (PERKEMP), the shared value program provided targeted support to identified beneficiary families.
- Financial Inclusion and Budget Savvy Autonomy: AEON Bank provided 100 families, comprising more than 400 total beneficiaries of the Perumahan Pantai Permai community, with a RM300 grocery budget for each family, representing a total contribution of RM30,000 this year.
- Hands-on Support and Budget Savvy Autonomy: More than 50 AEON Bank employees, including senior leadership from AEON Bank and AEON BiG, guided the beneficiaries with their allocated budget and the shopping process. This approach empowered the beneficiaries with the autonomy to decide on purposeful grocery purchases, on the needs of their family, be it multigenerational households, families with small children, and those caring for persons with disabilities (PWD).
- Sustained Impact: Since the inception of the Salam Prihatin initiative in 2023, AEON Bank has engaged nearly 2,000 beneficiaries, and it will continue to create a positive impact across the community.
Redefining Digital Accessibility

Coinciding with the Ramadan season, AEON Bank is introducing new features and functions in its digital banking app, aimed at increasing accessibility and providing convenient ways for customers to manage various daily, monthly and seasonal payments.
- Lowering Entry Barriers: Effective 17 March 2026, AEON Bank has removed the minimum balance requirement for its accounts, making it more inclusive and flexible for all Malaysians.
- Integrated Zakat Payments: Through a strategic partnership with Tulus Digital, the AEON Bank app now facilitates 11 types of Zakat payments with a sah Aqad, including Zakat Fitrah, Zakat Pendapatan (Income), and Zakat Emas (Gold). Currently, it facilitates Zakat contributions to Lembaga Zakat Selangor and PPZ-MAIWP, with more states and Zakat collection to be added soon.
- Consolidated Utility Payments with JomPay: AEON Bank has integrated JomPay into its app, allowing customers to manage telco and utility bill payments from a centralised online platform.
Strategic Tools for Managing Cost-of-Living Pressures

AEON Bank has introduced several financial tools in its digital banking app and meaningful rewards to assist customers with seasonal expenses and long-term financial goals, including:
- Savings and Growth: AEON Bank is offering a 3.00% p.a. profit rate for its Savings Pot feature, valid until 31 May 2026.
- Financing Accessibility: Personal Financing-i (PF-i) options range from RM1,000 to RM100,000, with profit rates starting at 3.88% p.a.. The application is fully digital and available to Malaysians with a minimum monthly gross income of RM2,500, including salaried employees, freelancers, and gig workers.
- Cashback and Loyalty Rewards: Customers can earn RM30 Raya cashback when they pay using the AEON Bank Debit Card-i at retail stores participating in the MyDebit campaign, from now until 15 April 2026. Additionally, AEON Points earned through the loyalty program can be redeemed directly as cash value into a customer’s Savings Account-i.
- Neko Missions UI/UX: The Neko Missions gamified experience offers RM5 cashback for DuitNow QR transactions via the AEON Bank app until 15 May 2026.
Bridging the Digital Divide with Offline Engagements

Beyond the digital application, AEON Bank is maintaining a physical presence throughout Ramadan at the Seksyen 2 and 23 bazaars in Shah Alam. This online-to-offline (O2O) initiative is made possible thanks to its partnership with the Persatuan Penjaja & Peniaga Kecil Melayu Negeri Selangor (PPPKMNS).
