Redmi Note 15 series launched in Malaysia: 6,000mAh battery, 108MP camera, 4-year major OS updates, priced from RM799

Redmi Note 15 4G & 5G Malaysia Quick Specs

Let’s start with the common specs shared between the Redmi Note 15 4G and its 5G sibling. For starters, you get a 6.77″ (2392×1080 pixels) 120Hz AMOLED that has a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. You also get the same 108MP f/1.7 main camera, 20MP f/2.2 front camera, and both phones can also do 18W reverse wired charging.

Software-wise, the Redmi Note 15 series runs on Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 skin, built atop Android 15. Xiaomi is also promising up to four years of major OS updates and six years of security patch support.

As for the rest of the specs, you get the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset with the 4G model, while the 5G one gets Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. Imaging-wise, the Redmi Note 15 5G comes with an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, while the 4G unit only offers an auxiliary lens alongside the main 108MP shooter.

Battery-wise, the Redmi Note 15 4G sports a 6,000mAh cell that can charge at 33W via USB-C, while the 5G model oddly comes with a smaller 5,520mAh cell but charges faster at 45W.

For durability, the 4G phone is rated at IP64 for dust and splash resistance, while the 5G gets an IP66 rating, making it resistant against dust and water jets.
