CelcomDigi has introduced Spark, a new digital-first telco service that’s managed fully from an app. If this sounds familiar, Spark is essentially a replacement for Yoodo and it is eSIM only.
All existing “former” Yoodo customers are automatically switched to Spark starting today, but it loses many of the features that were offered previously. This include the flexibility to customise your plan from as low as RM3 per month and the Roam Like Home feature which lets you use your home data quota overseas. Overall, this seems to be a downgrade.
Similar to Yoodo, you can get started with Spark by downloading the app on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store and Huawei AppGallery. Existing Yoodo users will be notified to update their app to reflect the new Spark interface.
Spark plans start from RM15/month for 3GB 4G data

The Spark app looks identical to Yoodo but with slight tweaks including a new blue and yellow theme. By default, Spark only offers 3 plans which starts from RM15 per month without 5G:
- Mini – 3GB of 4G data for RM15/month
- Standard – 40GB of 4G/5G data with 100 minutes of voice calls for RM25/month
- Plus – 200GB of 4G/5G data with 100 minutes of voice calls for RM65/month
Alternatively, they are still offering the following plans for a Limited Time:
- Unlimited35 (4G) – 15Mbps, 100 minutes of voice calls, 6GB hotspot, 2GB Roaming – RM35/month
- Unlimited43 (4G) – 40Mbps, 100 minutes of voice calls, 6GB hotspot, 2GB Roaming – RM43/month
- High-Speed20 (5G) – 14GB data, 100 minutes of voice calls – RM20/month
- High-Speed25 (5G) – 45GB data, 100 minutes of voice calls – RM25/month
- High-Speed45 (5G) – 65GB data, 100 minutes of voice calls – RM45/month
- High-Speed63 (5G) – 85GB data, 100 minutes of voice calls – RM63/month
Spark also offers Booster Plan where you can add 1GB for RM1, 10GB for RM5, 25GB for RM10 and 100GB for RM30. Meanwhile, extra voice call quota can be purchased for 30 minutes at RM1 and 500 minutes for RM5.
If you still need SMS, you can add-on 50 SMS at RM1 or 1000 SMS at RM3. The booster add-ons will be valid until the next plan renewal.
According to a notice sent to Yoodo users, your existing monthly plan will continue as long as auto-renew is turned on. Alternatively, you can switch to Spark’s new plans.
If you have existing Points and Rewards in the previous “former Yoodo” interface, you must utilise them by 31st December 2025.
Spark offers RM5/off for 12 months

As part of its introductory offer, new Spark users who activate a SIM from now until 31st December 2025 will receive RM5 off for 12 months. To enjoy this promo, make sure you enter SPARK5 during the sign up process.
With an eSIM, users can activate their service immediately without the need to wait for a physical SIM card. Just make sure your device is eSIM compatible, select the plan, choose the number and make the payment. Once that’s done, you can activate the eSIM immediately. You can register up to 5 lines under a single Spark account.
No more Roam Like Home and custom data add-ons for apps

The biggest downgrade perhaps its Spark’s roaming option. For now, they are only offering three countries – Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.
For each country, you are only given the option to get 1GB (1 day) for RM4 or 3GB (7 days) for RM10.

Yoodo’s previous Roam Like Home passes offer greater flexibility as you can enjoy your home data and voice call quota overseas. This was a great way to roam as you can technically use all of your home data quota overseas for a flat fee.
Spark also discontinues the previous app-specific data add-ons. Previously, you can purchase discounted data quota for specific apps such as YouTube, Spotify, Facebook and more.
