The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has finally launched in Malaysia and this is their ultimate mobile photography smartphone. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra succeeds its previous China-only Xiaomi 12S Ultra and this is their first “Ultra” flagship with Leica co-engineered cameras to be released in the Malaysian market.

Here’s the official pricing for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in Malaysia:

Pre-orders for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be available in Malaysia starting 23rd June 2023 at authorised Xiaomi stores and retailers nationwide. During the pre-order period from 23 to 29 June, buyers will be able to get a Xiaomi Instant Photo Printer 1S Set worth RM619, 100GB cloud storage on Google One for 6 months and 1+1 years of extended warranty.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra Malaysia Specs

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra features a 6.73″ LTPO OLED WQHD+ display which has a variable refresh rate of 1-120Hz. It also boasts an impressive 2600nits of peak brightness and 1300 nits of high brightness. Protecting the front panel is a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

As you would expect from a flagship device in 2023, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and it can be configured with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. However, for Malaysia, Xiaomi is only offering a single variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. For faster file transfer, the USB-C port uses USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface which boasts transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps and video output of up to 4K 60Hz.

The cameras as the biggest highlight. Similar to the Xiaomi 12S Ultra it gets a 1″ 50MP Sony IMX989 23mm main sensor but this time it gets a variable aperture lens that switches between f/1.9 and f/4.0. The remaining three shooters are using Sony’s 50MP IMX858 sensors. It consists of a 12mm ultra-wide-angle f/1.8 camera, a 75mm telephoto f1/.8 camera and a 120mm super-telephoto f/3.0 camera. Both main and telephoto cameras get optical image stabilisation. For selfies, the device gets a 32MP selfie shooter that sits in a punch-hole on the display.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra gets a 5,000mAh battery that supports 90W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging. Besides having dual speakers, it also gets IP68-rated dust and water resistance. Out of the box, it runs on Android 13 with MIUI 14 skin on top.
