NVIDIA launched not one, not two, but three new graphics cards last month in the form of the GeForce RTX 4060 and two models of the RTX 4060 Ti. However, only the 8GB GeForce RTX 4060 Ti would actually be available in May, with the other two originally slated for a July release date. NVIDIA though has now updated the availability details on the GeForce RTX 4060, bringing it forward to this month instead.
The GeForce RTX 4060 will now be available to order starting June 29, at 6AM Pacific.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 will now be available for purchase from 29 June onwards, 9pm local time. The 60-series graphics card from NVIDIA has always been the fan favourite option among gamers thanks to it typically being the best in terms of price-to-performance. NVIDIA says that the GeForce RTX 4060 has a recommended starting price of RM1,539, but you can expect it to differ depending on the various cooler configurations offer by their board partners such as Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Zotac, Palit and more.
As a quick recap, the NVIDIA GeForce 4060 features their latest Ada Lovelace architecture with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, pushing 3,072 NVIDIA CUDA cores running at 1.83GHz base with a boost clock of 2.46GHz. It offers 15 TFLOPs of performance, and also packs their latest 3rd generation RT cores, 4th generation Tensor cores, AV1 support and DLSS 3 too. The big change though was just how efficient it is compared to its predecessor, with a 115W TGP compared to the 170W rating the RTX 3060 has.
Positioned very much as a 1080p gaming graphics card, NVIDIA claims that the GeForce RTX 4060 should offer up to 1.7x and up to 2.3x the performance of the RTX 3060 and the older RTX 2060 at 1080p resolution, though this does take into account their frame generation technology.
