The Realme 10 Pro 5G series only made it to our shores in December last year, with a special Coca-Cola edition of the Realme 10 Pro launching earlier this month too, but that isn’t stopping the Chinese manufacturer from teasing their upcoming Realme 11 Pro 5G series already. Realme is set to launch the upcoming Realme 11 Pro 5G lineup in China on the 10th of May, and will feature both the regular Realme 11 Pro 5G and the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G.
While Realme aren’t revealing too much about the hardware of their upcoming midrangers just yet, they have teased its design quite a bit. According to Realme, the upcoming 11 Pro series devices have been co-created by the Realme Design Studio and Matteo Menotto, formerly a Gucci Prints designer and current head of design for prints at Bulgari. It will feature a ‘lychee leather’ back, which isn’t leather made of the fruit but rather a type of artificial leather made to resemble the outer skin of the lychee fruit.
Along with the faux leather back is a lace-like strip down the center of the back of the device. Perhaps the most striking element of the design though is the large circular camera bump with concentric circles. Menotto claims that the design of the Realme 11 Pro series was inspired by the fashion city Milan, with the new colour variant Sunrise Beige in particular a result of the pale golden hue from the rising sun on the city’s architecture. Aside from Sunrise Beige though the Realme 11 Pro lineup will also come in Oasis Green and Astral Black.
Realme added that aside from the lychee leather back, their design studio is leveraging on Menotto’s background to bring textures, prints and craftsmanship from the world of luxury goods into the Realme 11 Pro 5G series. This means a 3D couture-leve seam technique as well as a 3D woven texture for a unique feel when holding it in the hand.
As mentioned earlier, the Realme 11 Pro 5G will first debut in China next month, and we can expect it to enter the Malaysian market shortly after that.
