The Special Committee for ensuring access to COVID-19 vaccine supply (JKJAV) has released the national immunisation plan document in more languages as part of its education effort. Initially released in Malay and English, the document which covers the roadmap, vaccine information, phases and registration process is now available in both Chinese and Tamil.
To view the document, just visit the vaksincovid.gov.my website and select the version that you wish to download on the main page. The document will be updated from time to time based on the latest developments and information. If you have any questions about the vaccination program, you can drop them here.
To recap, the vaccines are provided for free to all citizens and non-citizens in Malaysia. It is offered on a voluntary basis and you’ll need to register to get the jab. If you’re interested, you can register now via the MySejahtera app which is available on Google Play Store, Apple App Store and Huawei AppGallery. JKJAV will also accept registrations via its website and hotline number starting from 5th March 2021.
The immunisation program has started on 24th February 2021 with Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin receiving the first jab. Under phase 1, a total of 500,000 frontliners and essential workers will be getting their vaccination by April 2021.
Malaysia has received its first batch of Pfizer vaccines on 21st February and yesterday, the first batch of Sinovac vaccines that have been procured in bulk have also arrived.
