Kasi Up: Here’s how you can add some cash to your wallet regularly via YES’ Refer & Earn programme

This post is brought to you by YES.

The quintessentially Malaysian phrase, Kasi Up, basically means to give someone a hand, or a boost. YES’ latest initiative takes on this name—with plans that are designed to offer the rakyat some much-needed cash during the current economic situation.

Among other benefits, the initiative offers  affordable data plans to help Malaysians digitise during the pandemic. Plus, there’s even a referral programme that can help those facing cash flow issues. Under the YES Kasi Up Refer & Earn programme, Malaysians can earn, share, and save some much needed cash—because we’re all in this together. #kitajagakita

Make cash regularly with YES Kasi Up plans

YES says that the Kasi Up initiative “puts cash in the hands of the rakyat”, with a “save-earn-share” model to offer Malaysians a boost. Essentially, the telco’s plans are designed to be affordable to help you save, while the referral programme makes up the earning and sharing portion of the model.

You can take advantage of the programme via these plans, amongst others:

(a) Kasi Up Postpaid 49 – RM49 for 100GB of data a month, with the first six months free on a two-year contract

(b) Kasi Up Prepaid 15 – RM15 for 10GB with 30-day validity (the market’s lowest priced plan with the highest amount of data and the longest validity)

*Data top-ups for all YES plans at RM1 for 1GB

Under the Refer & Earn programme, YES subscribers (other than excluded plans) may invite friends and family members to subscribe for YES Kasi Up plans with a referral code—and earn cash rewards subject to terms and conditions.

This means that for eligible plans and referrals, you can Kasi Up your friends and family simply by sharing your referral code to them. Then, earn cold, hard cash once your referee successfully signs up for an eligible Kasi Up plan—and the best bit is there is no limit to your referrals. The more you Kasi Up, the more you earn.

Here’s how it works:

  1. First, download the MyYES app on Google Play for Android phones or the App Store for iOS devices.
  2. Choose the perfect plan for yourself, and await free delivery of your SIM card.
  3. Insert the SIM card into your smartphone, and activate the SIM within the MyYES app.
  4. Share – Share your referral code and invite friends and family to join YES
  5. Earn – Once your referee has signed up, you both get cash!
  6. Repeat to earn (again) – The more you Kasi Up, the more you earn! As YES calls it, it’s Unlimited Duit.

As YTL Communications Managing Director Dato’ Yeoh Seok Hong explained:

“YES Kasi Up is not just about saving money, it’s also about making money and sharing the fruits of their effort. It’s a simple referral model that can be understood by everyone. No special skills, notraining, no capital required – just refer YES to friends and family, and earn money.”

YES Databack: 5GB with every RM50 spent on Shopee

Meanwhile, YES Databack also rewards Shopee customers with free data—which is a critical element of work-from-home and learn-from-home setups.

As its name suggests, this initiative offers free data to customers when they shop on partner platforms; Shopee customers will earn 5GB of free data with every RM50 spent on Shopee, up to 100GB per month. According to YES, 150,000,000GB of free data is up for grabs, and ready to be claimed on Shopee. So there’s certainly enough to go around.

All you need to do is to get onto Shopee, purchase a YES SIM card for RM1, and have it delivered for free. Once activated, you can begin earning, saving, and sharing with YES Kasi Up and YES Databack plans.

To find out more, download the MyYES app on the Google Play Store for Android devices, or the App Store for iOS devices. You can also head over the YES’ official website for more information on Kasi Up, Databack, and Refer & Earn programmes.
