Malaysia has recorded 3,306 new COVID-19 cases today which brings the total number of infections to 161,740. Malaysia has been been recording over 3,200 new daily cases for 5 straight days. There are 4 new deaths reported and the death toll is now 605.
The Ministry of Health has reported 2,293 new recoveries and a total of 122,344 patients have recovered and discharged so far. The recovery rate is now 75.7% while the mortality rate is at 0.4%.

There are currently 38,791 active cases remaining which are receiving treatment. 226 are in ICU while 94 require respiratory support.
Out of the 3,306 new cases today, 7 are imported while 3,299 are transmitted locally. Selangor continues to record the most with 1,213 new cases, followed by Sabah with 432 cases, Johor with 329 cases and Kuala Lumpur with 250 cases.
