Besides the new MacBook Pro 14 powered by M5, Apple has also updated the iPad Pro with its latest M5 chip. Besides getting performance upgrades, the new iPad Pro also brings several new features including support for WiFi 7 and faster charging.
The base pricing remains unchanged with the 11″ 256GB model starting from RM4,499.
In addition, the RAM on the 256GB and 512GB lower storage options have been bumped up from 8GB to 12GB.

The latest iPad Pro M5 is listed as coming soon to Malaysia and there’s no availability dates yet.
It comes in either Silver or Space Black, and here’s the official pricing in Malaysia:

What’s new with iPad Pro M5 2025?

With the new Apple Silicon chip, the new iPad Pro M5 boasts a big leap in AI performance, faster storage and it harnesses the new capabilities of iPadOS 26. It is said that the next-generation GPU with Neural Accelerator in each core delivers a big boost in performance with up to 3.5x the AI performance than iPad Pro with M4. The new iPad Pro boasts faster unified memory bandwidth of over 150GB/s, which is 30% higher than its predecessor.
Similar to the previous generation, the 256GB and 512GB options come with a 9-core CPU, while the higher 1TB and 2TB options get a 10-core CPU. In terms of RAM, the 256GB and 512GB models now come with 12GB RAM (iPad Pro M4: 8GB), while the higher two options get 16GB RAM.
The new iPad Pro also supports the latest WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6, while the C1X model on the cellular models boasts up to 50% faster mobile data performance than its predecessor. At the same time, the iPad Pro M5 still boasts a battery life of up to 10 hours of video playback.

According to Apple’s press release, the new iPad Pro also supports the ability to drive external displays up to 120Hz. When plugged in to a 120Hz external display, the new iPad Pro also supports Adaptive sync which claims to provide the lowest possible latency in external display performance.
As a result, iPad Pro owners would experience smoother motion and fewer perceived glitches in various low-latency use cases such as gaming.

For the first time, the iPad Pro M5 is now fast charge capable. For the 11″ version, it can get up to 50% charge in just 30 minutes, while the larger 13″ iPad Pro takes 35 minutes.
Take note that this rated fast charge capability is applicable when using Apple’s 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max, or other compatible USB-C power adapter that can provide 60W or higher.
